SAAC Wins Tourism Award

The Scottish Antique and Arts Centre at Doune has been named the top visitor attraction in the crafts and shopping category of the UKFX Tourism Awards.

The award means SAAC is officially recognised as the best shopping and craft centre in the Argyll, the Isles, Loch Lomond, Stirling and Trossachs Tourist Board area.

The public nominated their favourite business for the award, which aims to encourage high quality products and services throughout the local tourist industry, with a record number of nominations received this year.

Nominees faced a rigorous objective evaluation process, and the judging panel were impressed with the professionalism and style of the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre.
Judges said the Scottish Antiques and Art Centre offered a “unique shopping experience”.

“The centre offers different traders the opportunity to display and sell their wares whilst at the same time offering the customer the chance to see a variety of different types of antiques. There is also a modern gift shop with a wide selection on unusual gift ideas and an excellent coffee shop.

“The Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre has become a destination in its own right, attracting antique hunters from far and wide. The centre features high quality merchandise with the majority of the goods on offer being sourced in Scotland.”

With almost 2,300 trade members in the tourist board area, the award is a significant achievement for the SAAC at Doune, which continually strives to provide a high quality range of products for its customers, along with friendly and professional customer service.
